-This photo shows the fate of many Chinese toward the end of the Chinese Civil War. As depicted in the picture, many people are boarding on trains to try and flee toward places not taken over by the Communists, such as Taiwan and Hong Kong. My father's family was one of the many who fled China in hopes of a better life away from the communists, and they found that in Taiwan.
-This photo shows the caution and the hostility that the Nationalists had toward the Communists. The pictures description was that Nationalist troops were searching people as they entered certain cities to see if they were Communists. In a way, people in China were identifying themselves with two different groups, the Communists and the Nationalists. These two factions disliked each other greatly, and this hate led to the split between Taiwan and China.
